Robert's 39th Birthday
Kin - Car - EE - on!!! I got the pleasure of going to my favorite Thai restaurant for my birthday. I helped the owner, Dee (actually her name is Umpa), get health department final while I was at my last job. She was eternally grateful and shows it every time we show up for a meal. She made off the menu appetizers and knew to make my order "bring an ambulance" spicy. This restaurant was in the top 100 of a panel of ten Food TV network chefs. The cuisine is Issan style from the north of Thailand. Sharon will remind you that you don't have to eat everything in the food as lime leaves, strong ginger and lemon grass are pretty much there there for flavor only (it's OK to take things out of your mouth and put them on a plate!). They tell me I eat in true Thai style with a spoon in my left hand to facilitate the fork in my right. I say it just helps me get more of the deliciousness into my mouth!!
I would love to treat anyone to this fantastic restaurant upon request!
Cheers!

Meet Maggie
She's a cockachihuahua (part cocker spaniel and part chihuahua). We got her from the Baja Animal Sanctuary so she only speaks Spanish. You can't tell the scale from the photo but she comes up to the top of my shin. She weighs about 14 pounds. Some mistake her for a lab puppy but she's about 2 years old.
Nice little dog - if only we could get her to stop tracking and flushing the bunny.

Epic Trip Completed!
Sheri, Amanda, Nolan and I completed a 10 day, >1500 mile trek with our new trailer through the redwoods, into Oregon, and beyond. We stopped by Jim Stack's house in Redding for a night and spend two nights at the Kennedy's in Morgan Hill. Great fun was had by all and we saw some AMAZING things. I will post a few pics here but more can be found at our web gallery at:
