Orlando Trip -summer finale!

Last Days of summer

Today is the last day of summer vacation. Sam and I braved the hills of Coe park and mt. biked to frog lake. The fish were biting, but not catching. Back to school tomorrow!

Meet Maggie

She's a cockachihuahua (part cocker spaniel and part chihuahua). We got her from the Baja Animal Sanctuary so she only speaks Spanish. You can't tell the scale from the photo but she comes up to the top of my shin. She weighs about 14 pounds. Some mistake her for a lab puppy but she's about 2 years old.

Nice little dog - if only we could get her to stop tracking and flushing the bunny.

Epic Trip Completed!

Sheri, Amanda, Nolan and I completed a 10 day, >1500 mile trek with our new trailer through the redwoods, into Oregon, and beyond. We stopped by Jim Stack's house in Redding for a night and spend two nights at the Kennedy's in Morgan Hill. Great fun was had by all and we saw some AMAZING things. 4th of July

The waves were too big for me.

No fireworks but we spent a great day at the beach.

Our little dog, Misty, who was not friendly to other people or animals (including our rabbit), but was loyal as the day was long to Joe and me, went to doggie heaven on Saturday. We imagine her with restored sight, hearing, and confidence playing with all the other mean little dogs.

Why work?

While you guys were slugging it out on the street with the masses, I was camping at the beach with the kids and a couple of friends......

Graduation Day

Today was graduation day for Sam. Off to 7th grade. Claire will be in 5th next year. Sam was the class President so he got to lead off the ceremonies with the pledge. He earned 5 awards! The most in the school! Straight A's this year! Takes after some of his uncles.....

Little Live Kennedys

We picked up the Rock Band video game the other day and it's quite a lot of fun. Amanda and Nolan have named their band the Little Live Kennedy's or LLK for short. They have picked up how to play amazingly fast with Amanda on drums and Nolan on vocals. The first song they mastered was Blitzkrieg Bob by the Ramones - what else?
