The swim was both the worst and the best part. It was cold and dark. Ocean swimming is quite different from lakes and pools. The swim was compounded by a shark attack just down the beach from here the week prior. The promoters gave people the option of "running" the swim leg, but I don't think anyone did. There is a ton of kelp in this area, so it is somewhat of a crawl rather than a swim at times....
How did Claire learn Photoshop well enough to put your picture into a triathalon event?? :-)
